Have you ever had a set of expectations for someone or something that were not met?
Whether that be a friend letting you down or an event not going as planned, our expectations often fall short of what we hoped for.
But why are we often left disappointed by others and even by God at times?
Many times our expectations are unspoken of and simply out-of-line with God’s plans for us. We need our expectations to be clarified and we must be willing to be open-handed with any expectations we might have.
God doesn’t always meet our expectations, but He’ll reorient them to be more beautiful and perfect than what we desired.
